3 Good

Director Mr. Aditya Chopra work is impressive. His way of blocking of scenes are up to date. His decision to depict the scenes with continuous long shots rather than taking the cut shots, completely goes in favor of film and mood. Lead characters give each other dare in film to do something and it is throughout, even in emotional angle in climax but actually dare was taken by Director to break his typical image of die hard romantic film. He was so desperate to prove himself to this so called new generation that he decided to insert a blink and miss shot of male nude butt. It was a daring decision by him. Even he has chosen typical comedy treatment of climax with chase and run sequences. Film starts with lip lock of different people of different age group and profession with beginning credit. It clearly reflects that what type of film it is going to be. There is nothing in the name of story by Director but screenplay by him is new, fresh and entertaining, especially in first half, second half starts searching its old roots for which YRF inheritor is known for that is boring and unnecessary love triangle. This long love triangle is most not happening thing in this film. Simple scenes like looking for cornflakes by male which his at that time ex girlfriend was used to of feeding him, is cute, and there are lots of other such type of light hearted but entertaining scenes. Dialogues by Director himself and Sharat Kataria ,are very good and lift up the film. Major plus point of this film is performances. Duet dance with only music beats in pre climax is damn good and conveys the transformation of emotions in perfect way. Ranveer Singh is just fantastic. He has just lived up the character. Vaani Kapoor is first rate too. She looks beautiful, enacts well and carries the character with ease. Title track and 'Nashe Si Chad Gayee', by Vishal- Shekhar are foot tapping. Choreography by Vaibhavi Merchant of all songs is visual treat.
