पिछले हफ़्ते भारत की जिम्नास्ट दीपा करमाकर ने आर्टिस्टिक जिम्नास्टिक के फाइनल में पहुंच कर इतिहास रच दिया । दीपा करमाकर 31वें ओलंपिक खेलों के वॉल्ट इवेंट के फाइनल में चौथे नंबर पर रहीं । वह महज कुछ अंकों के साथ कांस्य पदक से चूक गईं । ये कारनामा करने वाली वो पहली भारतीय महिला जिम्नास्ट हैं । चौथे स्थान पर रहीं दीपा भले ही ओलंपिक में कोई पदक हासिल न कर पाईं हों लेकिन उन्होंने अपने अदम्य प्रयास से फ़ाइनल में पहुंचकर लाखों-करोड़ों दिलों को जीत लिया ।
बॉलीवुड सितारे, जो रियो ओलंपिक में भारतीय एथलीट को सक्रियरूप से प्रोत्साहित कर रहे हैं, ने सोशल मीडिया अकाउंट का सहारा लेते हुए पदक से चुकीं दीपा को फ़ाइनल में पहुंचकर इतिहास रचने के लिए कुछ इस तरह बधाईंयां दी ।
