Thalaivar 171 gets titled as Coolie; Lokesh Kangaraj unveils new teaser of Rajinikanth starrer

Ever since the announcement was made about the Vikram fame filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj and Tamil megastar Rajinikanth collaborating for an upcoming project, the film has sparked excitement. The untitled massy entertainer, which was being referred to as Thalaivar 171, is finally expected to have locked its title on April 22. The makers announced the title to be Coolie, and along with that, also dropped a new teaser featuring the megastar in an action-packed avatar.

Not too long ago, a poster of Rajinikanth holding a string of gold watches was unveiled by the makers. While the said picture was shot in monochrome mode with the focus only on the gold, the teaser too has been shot in a similar format, where the colour of gold is highlighted indicating that it plays a key role in the film. The said clip also promises the audience to take them on a ride filled with high-octane stunts and quintessential Rajinikanth antics, which will be a treat for the megastar’s fans. Taking to social media and sharing the link of the new teaser, Lokesh Kanagaraj also captioned the post saying, “We love you Thalaiva @rajinikanth #Coolie”.

 

 

Speaking of the crew of Thalaivar 171, it boasts of an extensive team which includes AnbAriv who have been directing the adrenaline-pumping stunts for the movie. Apart from them, the music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander with Girish Gangadaran as the cinematographer, Philomin Raj as the editor, and Sathees Kumar as the art director.

 

 

As for the cast too, Coolie is expected to have an ensemble set of stars. Reports have it that Sivakarthikeyan is said to play a key role in this entertainer. And along with him, names of Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, and Shobana are also doing the rounds. However, there has been no confirmation regarding the three popular actors joining the film.
