Suriya starrer Kanguva to be one of the most expensive films of this year with a budget of over Rs. 350 cr?

Ever since Studio Green and Suriya unveiled the teaser of the magnum opus and much-awaited Kanguva, it has taken social media by storm. Besides the teaser that has added to the curiosity surrounding the movie, what has garnered attention is also its budget. The Suriya, Bobby Deol starrer is billed as one of the big-budget films of the year from the Indian Cinema and the budget for this pan-world film is touted to be more than 350 crores.

Sources to the film reveal that Kanguva is one of the most ambitious film of the year and along with that, it is also the most expensive film coming from the Indian Cinema. The teasers promise to be rich in visuals, cinematography, showcasing the scale in which the film has been mounted. A source close to the production said, "Kanguva is shaping up brilliantly. Right from the technical department to the execution, stunts, war sequence and the characterizations, makers are leaving no stone unturned to bring cinematic marvel to the audiences. The makers have mounted the film on a huge canvas with a massive budget of 350 Cr. and once it's released, everyone will see it on screens" The source also mentioned that a film of this stature requires a rock-solid producer and hence, Studio Green came on board to tell this epic cinematic saga to the audiences.

 

If these statements are true, the budget of the Suriya film may surpass the estimated budgets of big-ticket entertainers like Singham Again, Pushpa 2;The Rule, and other films coming this year.

 

Meanwhile, speaking of Kanguva, it shows the story of two different eras - Pre-Historical and present era and the makers aim at ensuring that the scale and the execution in these two timelines prove to be a visual delight for the audiences. It captures the enormous battle between Bobby and Suriya's characters where Bobby's antagonistic appearance contrasts sharply with Suriya's fierce and courageous appearance as a warrior leading an army. It promises a raw, rustic, and new visual experience to the audience with human emotions, powerful performances, and never-before-seen action sequences on a massive scale.

 

It also introduces the world to director Siva's vision, which he has built on an unprecedented scale. The film features cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy and a musical score by ‘Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad.
