Suriya, Jyotika, and Karthi donate Rs 50 lakh for Wayanad landslide victims

Suriya, Jyotika and Karthi are among the actors who have donated money to the Kerala Chief Minister Relief Fund to assist victims of the Wayanad landslide catastrophe in Kerala. They have collectively donated Rs 50 lakh. The death toll from the Wayanad landslides has increased to 256, while more than 200 people remain missing.

On July 31, Suriya expressed his heartbreak at witnessing people's suffering in Wayanad. In his post on X and wrote, “#WayanadLandslide my thoughts and prayers with the families..Heartbreaking..! Respects to all member of Government agencies and people on the field helping the families with the rescue operations.”

 

 

 

On July 31, Chiyaan Vikram donated a sum of Rs 20 lakh to the Chief Minister Distress Fund to help the victims.

 

 

 

A number of Malayalam actors, including Mohanlal, Mammootty, Manju Warrier, Asif Ali, Tovino Thomas, Nikhila Vimal, Basil Joseph, and Malavika Mohanan, among others, have urged people to support the victims in whatever manner they can.

 

On the work front, Suriya will next be seen in Kanguva. He also has Meiyazhagan which is produced by Jyothika and Suriya under 2D Entertainment.
