Rishab Shetty embarks on spiritual journey across India to celebrate Kantara: Chapter 1 success
Rishab Shetty, the actor, writer, and director behind Kantara: Chapter 1, is celebrating the film’s monumental success in a way that mirrors its deeply spiritual essence. Rishab Shetty embarks on spiritual journey across India to celebrate Kantara: Chapter 1 success
The filmmaker’s stop included the historic Mundeshwari Temple in Bihar, believed to be the world’s oldest temple where worship continues to this day. Known for its rich heritage and ancient architecture, the temple stands as a symbol of India’s glorious past — making it a fitting destination for Rishab as he sought blessings for his film that celebrates faith, folklore, and cultural roots.
Continuing his spiritual sojourn, Rishab Shetty’s another visit was the Varanasi’s revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple, taking inspiration from his film’s line, “Maa Ganga Rasta Dikhayegi.” His visit to the sacred ghats of Varanasi reflected his belief that divine grace and audience love are at the heart of Kantara: Chapter 1’s overwhelming success.
Adding to his journey, Rishab also paid a heartfelt visit to Mysuru, where he sought blessings at the Chamundeshwari Temple and Shrikanteshwara Temple. Known for his humility and deep respect for Indian traditions, the filmmaker’s continued visits to temples reflect his grounding in spirituality even amid soaring fame.
Directed, written, and headlined by Rishab Shetty, Kantara: Chapter 1 is produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films. The film features Gulshan Devaiah, Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, PD Satish Chandra, Prakash Thuminad, among others. Set in the 4th Century AD, the film explores the sacred origins of the mystical land of Kantara, blending mythology, devotion, and power in a visually stunning narrative.
Released in multiple languages including Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, and English, Kantara: Chapter 1 continues to captivate audiences across regions while staying true to its cultural and spiritual core — much like Rishab Shetty’s own journey of gratitude and faith.
