Ram Charan is gearing up to make a powerful return to the big screen with his upcoming pan-India film PEDDI, which has already sparked nationwide buzz following the release of its First Shot Glimpse. Directed by National Award-winner Buchi Babu Sana, the film brings together some of the industry’s top creative minds. Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings, and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, PEDDI has now entered a key phase of production with an extensive schedule underway on a massive village set in Hyderabad.

PEDDI embraces a raw, earthy aesthetic, and the production team has gone to great lengths to ensure an immersive cinematic experience. Production designer Avinash Kolla, along with his team, has erected a sprawling village set where the makers will shoot a high-intensity stunt sequence, along with important talkie portions.

 

With 30% of the shoot already completed, this new schedule will cover a significant chunk of the film.

 

Following the success of Uppena, director Buchi Babu Sana returns with greater ambition, closely overseeing every aspect of PEDDI. With a large-scale production and significant budget, the film is being shaped into an epic cinematic experience.

 

Ram Charan has undergone a remarkable transformation for the role, sporting a rugged rural look with long hair, a thick beard, and a nose ring. Janhvi Kapoor stars as the leading lady, while Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma round out the powerful supporting cast.

 

R. Rathnavelu handles the cinematography, with Academy Award-winning composer A.R. Rahman scoring the music. Editing is by National Award-winning technician Navin Nooli, while production design is led by Avinash Kolla.

 

The film stars Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma. It is written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas. The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru, with music composed by the legendary A.R. Rahman. Cinematography is by R. Rathnavelu, editing by Navin Nooli, and production design by Avinash Kolla. V. Y. Praveen Kumar serves as the executive producer, with marketing managed by First Show.

 

The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 27, 2026, coinciding with Ram Charan’s birthday.
