Rakshit Shetty reveals about staying in touch with ex-fiance Rashmika Mandanna; says, “we message each other once in a while”

Last year Rashmika Mandanna, who kicked off her film career as the leading lady of the popular Kannada film Kirik Party, experienced massive trolling by Rakshit and Rishab Shetty fans after the actress failed to give them credit during an interview when she opened up about her debut film. While many believed that things did not go down well after she called off her wedding with Rakshit Shetty, the latter recently opened up about their relationship in an interaction wherein he asserted that they are cordial with each other.

For the unversed, Rakshit Shetty provided the launch platform for Rashmika Mandanna after the latter won a beauty pageant. While the actor and actress also announced their engagement, soon she called off the wedding. Despite that, the Kannada actor-producer has maintained that their relationship has not soured.

 

In an interview, while Rakshit frankly confessed that he isn’t aware of her equation with his brother and Kantara actor Rishab Shetty, he continued opening up about his relationship with Mandanna as he said, “Me and Rashmika… we message each other once in a while. Not like a constant touch. But whenever my film releases, she wishes me, and I wish her whenever her film releases. On birthdays, we exchange wishes.” He also went on to add, “She always had big dreams. She is achieving it. She should be given credit for that.”

 

For the unversed, a lot was being written about the falling out between Rashmika Mandanna and Rakshit Shetty, especially after the actress did not take his or his brother Rishab Shetty’s name while talking about her debut Kirik Party. When the actress was asked about her entry into films, she had narrated about the way she got her first audition but did not take their name or the name of the production house which gave her first break. Owing to the same, many Kannada film fans expressed their displeasure, further trolling the actress.
