Malayalam actress Vincy Aloshious insists on withdrawing misconduct complaint against Shine Tom Chacko amid controversy and alleged drug raid escape

Malayalam actress Vincy Aloshious has decided to withdraw a complaint she had filed against her Sootravakyam co-star Shine Tom Chacko, citing disappointment over a breach of trust. The actress had earlier accused Shine of misbehaving with her on the film’s set and alleged that he was under the influence of drugs during the incident.

According to reports, Vincy had approached the Film Chamber, the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), and AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists) to report the incident. However, she had placed a condition that the actor’s identity should remain confidential during the inquiry process. This request, she now claims, was not honoured.

 

Vincy alleged that during the shoot of Sootravakyam, Shine Tom Chacko insisted on helping her fix her outfit while reportedly being under the influence of drugs. Her complaint triggered an internal probe by the concerned film bodies, and Shine was expected to be summoned for questioning.

 

However, the controversy took another turn when Shine's name cropped up in an unrelated incident involving a drug raid at a five-star hotel where he was reportedly staying. While no narcotics were found on the premises and there was no direct evidence linking the actor to drug possession or use, reports suggest that he allegedly fled the scene along with his friends from the third floor of the hotel. This has raised suspicion about whether he was tipped off in advance about the raid, prompting further inquiry.

 

In light of these events, Vincy Aloshious has now formally withdrawn her complaint. Speaking to Kerala Kaumudi, the actress stated, “I made it clear to the authorities that the lead actor's name shall not be made public. It is a breach of trust. One person's mistake is now going to affect an entire movie. This should not happen. This is why I refrained from making public the name of the actor. I am extremely happy for the support I received from cinema organisations. The actor should not be denied work as he is massively talented. Let's allow him to rectify his mistakes.”

 

While the controversy has sparked conversations around on-set behaviour and accountability in the Malayalam film industry, no official statement has yet been released by Shine Tom Chacko or his representatives.
