“Konnichiwa, Japan” Allu Arjun delivers iconic Pushpa 2 dialogue in Japanese at the film’s Tokyo premiere

Actor Allu Arjun made a notable appearance at the Tokyo premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule, where he surprised audiences by delivering one of his well-known dialogues from the Pushpa franchise in Japanese. A video from the event, shared by the film’s makers on social media, shows the actor addressing the audience, followed by a warm response from fans present at the screening.

 

Allu Arjun is currently in Japan as part of the promotional activities for Pushpa 2: The Rule, which is set to release in the country under the title Pushpa Kunrin on January 16, 2026. During the premiere, his attempt to speak in Japanese drew cheers from the audience, highlighting the film’s growing reach beyond Indian markets.

Sharing the clip online, the makers wrote, “Konnichiwa, Japan 🇯🇵 Icon Star @alluarjunonline delivers his #Pushpa2 dialogue in Japanese at the Tokyo premiere. Grand release in Japan on January 16th.”

 

The Japanese release of Pushpa 2 is being handled by Geek Pictures and Shochiku, in collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. The film is expected to release across nearly 250 screens in Japan, marking one of the wider releases for an Indian film in the region.

 

Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar, continues the story of Pushpa Raj, a character that has found resonance with audiences across multiple regions. The film has already seen significant box-office traction in India and overseas markets, contributing to its international rollout.

 

Apart from Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun has several projects in the pipeline. He is set to collaborate with Atlee on an upcoming action film tentatively titled AA22xA6, which will also feature Deepika Padukone. Additionally, a project with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj has been recently announced, adding to his forthcoming slate.

 

With its Japan release around the corner, Pushpa 2: The Rule continues to expand its international presence, with the makers focusing on connecting with audiences across different markets.
