Aarti Ravi, wife of Tamil actor Jayam Ravi, has spoken out amid her ongoing divorce proceedings, revealing painful truths about her marriage, her children, and her current struggles. Her open letter, posted on social media, has garnered overwhelming support from the film industry, with prominent voices like Khushbu Sundar and Radikaa Sarathkumar stepping forward in solidarity.

Readers would be aware that their once picture-perfect marriage hit rock bottom as few developments this year revealed deep rifts when Ravi issued a divorce statement on social media. While this fuelled up rumours about his alleged relationship with Kenishaa Francis with the two of them also issuing clarification, denying these accusations, the latter’s presence with Ravi at a recent wedding has reignited the gossip, leading to Aarti taking to social media addressing her silence over the past year and the immense emotional and financial burden she has been carrying.

 

“For a year, I have carried silence like armour. Not because I was weak, but because my sons needed peace more than I needed to be heard,” she wrote. Without naming Ravi directly, Aarti accused her estranged husband of walking away not just from her, but also from his responsibilities as a father. She further alleged that she has received no financial or emotional support and that the family is now facing eviction—reportedly on his instructions.

 

In response, actor-politician Khushbu Sundar reposted Aarti’s note with a simple but powerful message: “A mother <3.” She later followed it with another post on X, writing, “The truth of a mother will stand as a testimony for days to come,” adding hashtags like #AartiRavi, #LifeLessons, #Mother, and #EmotionalMoment.

 

 

Veteran actress Radikaa Sarathkumar also joined in support, posting arm flexing emojis on social media, symbolizing strength and resilience.

 

 

Aarti’s statement resonated deeply with fans and fellow celebrities, especially as she emphasized that her decision to speak out wasn’t driven by vengeance or spectacle, but a mother’s need to protect her children. “This is a mother stepping into the fire—not to fight, but to protect. I do not cry. I do not scream. I stand tall, because I must. For the two boys who still call you Appa.”

 

With the divorce yet to be finalized, Aarti also urged the media to refrain from referring to her as Jayam Ravi’s ex-wife, asserting that “patience—like silence—is a virtue.” Jayam Ravi, also known as Ravi Mohan, married Aarti in 2009. The couple shares two sons, aged 10 and 14.
