D51: Rashmika Mandanna to play leading lady to Dhanush
National Award-winning actor Dhanush will be joining forces with National Award-winning filmmaker Sekhar Kammula for his 51st movie. The official announcement of this movie was made recently. While the film is yet to be titled, it is currently being referred to D51. While Dhanush will be seen in one-of-a-kind avatar, Rashmika Mandanna has been roped to play the female lead in the movie.
Interestingly this will be Rashmika Mandanna's first association with Dhanush, Sekhar Kammula, and Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP. A source close to the film confirmed the developments, adding, “The makers are also in talks with some very big names to be a part of this project. The details of the other cast and technical crew will be announced soon. Sekhar Kammula, who is known for his exceptional films, wrote a unique subject to present Dhanush in a never-before-seen character.”
With the blessings of Shri Narayan Das K Narang, Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao will be producing this ambitious project D51 under their production house Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP (A Unit Of Asian Group), in association with Amigos Creations Pvt. Ltd. whereas Sonali Narang is presenting the movie.
Dhanush, who was last seen in the bilingual Sir, is currently gearing up for Captain Miller which is expected to be a period action drama. Besides that, he also has D50, which is yet to be titled, in the pipeline.
On the other hand, Rashmika Mandanna too is quite busy with multiple projects in the pipeline. While she is gearing up for one of the most anticipated projects Animal with Ranbir Kapoor, the actress also has the female-centric drama Rainbow. The actress is currently expected to be busy with Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil starrer Pushpa 2 aka Pushpa: The Rule.
