The anticipation for Kalki 2898 AD is at an all-time high, with fans eagerly awaiting its release especially after the release of the trailer. This excitement was further amplified by ‘The Kalki Chronicles,’ an interview series which offers deeper insights into the futuristic world that the film has created onscreen. Featuring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone in lead roles, readers would be aware that the film draws heavily from mythological themes, and recently yet another leading actor from the film and Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan opened up about the fusion theme of the movie.

Kalki 2898 AD has introduced audiences to characters like Ashwatthama and Bhairava, who are rooted in ancient Indian epics. This blending of mythological figures with a futuristic narrative is what adds a unique depth and richness to the story, according to Mr. Bachchan. In the first episode of ‘The Kalki Chronicles,’ Amitabh shared his thoughts on the film. He highlighted the innovative blending of genres, stating, "The fact that we are able to mix mythology with something futuristic is so unique and very intelligent." The megastar further elaborated on the complexities involved in such a project, discussing potential challenges. However, he assured audiences adding, "By the end of the film, you will actually believe what you saw," emphasizing the film's immersive quality and the immense care taken in its production.

 

About Kalki 2898 AD

 

Directed by Nag Ashwin and produced under the banner Vyjayanthi Movies, the film, which was earlier being referred as Project K, features a stellar cast, including Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in key roles along with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan. Set in a futuristic world representing the post-apocalyptic dystopian era, infused with mythological elements, it is set to release on June 27 in multiple languages including Hindi.
