Ajith’s Valimai to hit the screens on Pongal 2022; to clash with Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam at the box office

Actor Ajith's upcoming film Valimai has been one of the biggest and most anticipated films. Fans have been demanding an update on the film for months and finally have a reason to rejoice. Producer Boney Kapoor took to his social media to make an official announcement regarding the release of the film.

Boney Kapoor has confirmed that the film will be released on the big screen on Pongal 2022. His tweet read, "Happy to announce that #Valimai will hit the screens on Pongal 2022. #ValimaiFromPongal #ValimaiPongal #Valimai (sic)."

 

 

Meanwhile, Prabhas and Pooja Hegde starrer Radhe Shyam is also set to release on January 14, coinciding with Pongal 2022. The two films will now clash at the box office.

 

Ajith wrapped up the entire shoot of Valimai in Russia last month. In the final schedule, he shot for a high-octane stunt sequence.

 

Valimai is a cop drama in which Ajith plays the role of a police officer. Apart from Ajith, the film features Kartikeya Gummakonda, Huma Qureshi, Yogi Babu, Sumitra, and Pugazh in important roles.Valimai is jointly produced by Zee Studios and Bayview Projects LLP. Cinematographer Nirav Shah, editor Vijay Velukutty, and composer Yuvan Shankar Raja form the technical crew.
