K-pop group TOMORROW X TOGETHER, also known as TXT, have released their eighth mini album 7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns, marking a significant milestone as they enter their seventh year as a group. Alongside the album, the band also unveiled the music video for the lead single, ‘Stick With You’, offering fans a deeper look into the project’s central themes.

The album arrives as TXT begin a new chapter following their contract renewal with BIGHIT MUSIC, a subsidiary of HYBE. Known for evolving their sound and storytelling with each release, the group’s latest work leans into a more introspective and personal space, exploring emotions shaped by uncertainty and self-doubt.

 

Comprising six tracks— ‘Bed of Thorns’, ‘Stick With You’, ‘Take Me to Nirvana’ (feat. Vinida Weng), ‘So What’, ‘21st Century Romance’, and ‘Dream of Mine’ — the album uses the metaphor of “thorns” to reflect inner conflict and emotional turbulence. Each track builds on this idea, navigating themes of consequence, release, and self-acceptance.

 

The lead single ‘Stick With You’ is an electro-pop track featuring a high-impact chorus layered with a vintage 909 drum sound and techno-punk influences. Lyrically, it captures the tension of a relationship on the verge of ending, portraying the emotional gap between holding on and letting go. The track also mirrors the group’s own journey, symbolising their determination to stay connected to their dreams despite challenges.

 

 

The accompanying music video adds a narrative dimension, following a character dealing with anxiety and emotional conflict. As the story unfolds, the members come to terms with the idea that the source of their turmoil lies within themselves. The video also features an appearance by Jun Jong-seo, adding depth to its storytelling.

 

Beyond the release, TXT are set to headline KCON LA 2026 on August 16, where they will perform an extended set. The group is also preparing to launch a new initiative following their ongoing ‘TOGETHER FOR TOMORROW’ campaign in collaboration with UNICEF.

 

With this release, TOMORROW X TOGETHER continue to expand their musical identity while engaging with themes that resonate with their global audience.
