Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans open up about their reunion with Jeremy Renner post his snowplow accident; actress says, “On the Avengers text chain, we're like, 'OK, you beat us all’”

Readers would be aware that Jeremy Renner suffered a major accident in January 2023 because of the snowplow at his residence wherein he suffered blunt chest trauma and several other injuries on his body because of being run over by it. The American star, popularly known for several roles including that of Hawkeye in the Avengers series, has now sprung back into action. While he was admitted in the hospital, his Avengers co-stars Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans met up with him and they recently opened up their conversation with him.

In a cover story, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans confessed about going to meet the star last month. "I was honestly so happy to see him. I didn't know if I was ever going to see him again," said Johansson when she met him for the first time post the accident. "To not only see him again but to see him thriving and in such an amazing space, mentally. He's a very spiritual person in general and a very soulful person. And you can see that in he is full of life and light, and he's also hilarious. We laughed a lot,” she added.

 

Chris Evans too mentioned the get-together as he continued, "Leave it to Jeremy to take something this potentially tragic and turn into something so inspiring." Scarlett continued to gush about his spirit of life and also compared him to being a real Avenger superhero as she mentioned, "On the Avengers text chain, we're like, 'OK, you beat us all. That's it. You won’. That's like real superhero stuff. It's unbelievable." The actress is referring to the text chain which includes the original set of Avengers, i.e. Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), and Chris Hemsworth (Thor).

 

As of now Jeremy Renner is well on the road to recovery. He also attended the premiere of his series Rennervations in April 2023 and has been sharing updates about his recouping health on social media.
