Vidya Balan alerts fans about impersonation scam on fake Instagram account

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan took to her official Instagram handle today to warn her followers about a fake Instagram account using her name for fraudulent activities. The actress informed her fans that the imposter has not only reached out to her but has also impersonated her while contacting her friends and colleagues.

In her Instagram post, Vidya Balan expressed her concern and urged her followers to take action against the fake account. The actress mentioned that her team has already reported the imposter's account, but she emphasized the importance of collective efforts to curb the fraudulent activities. Vidya wrote, “Hello everyone. First it was a phone number and now someone is using this account @vidya.balan.pvt and reaching out to people as me. My team and I have ofcourse reported it but if you can do report the account as well, it will be of great help. This individual has reached out to a lot of my friends and colleagues pretending to be me. Please do not entertain and do report and block.”

 

 

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan's next is set for theatrical release. Titled Do Aur Do Pyaar, the film also stars Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D'Cruz and Sendhil Ramamurthy. It is directed by debutant Shirsha Guha Thakurta. Along with the first-look poster, the makers have also announced the release date of the film. The film arrives in cinemas on March 29, 2024.
