Varun Dhawan faces on-set challenge: Injures leg amid Atlee's VD18 production
Popular actor Varun Dhawan recently faced an unexpected setback while working on an exciting project. He took to Instagram Stories to share a health update with his fans, revealing that he had injured his right leg during a film shoot.
In a candid video, Varun expressed his confusion about how the injury occurred while on set. He showed his dedication to recovery by immersing his leg in an ice water bath, a common practice for reducing inflammation and promoting healing.
"I hurt my leg, I think while shooting, and I have no idea how I hurt my leg, but this is what I am doing at the moment," Varun said in the video, which has now disappeared from his IG story section.
Having said that, it is worth mentioning here that Varun didn't disclose the specific project. However, it was recently reported that he has started shooting for an action-packed venture, temporarily titled VD 18, produced by Atlee Kumar's A For Apple Studios, in collaboration with Cine1 Studios.
The film, directed by Kalees, known for the 2019 Tamil movie Kee, is set to hit theatres on May 31 next year. Besides Varun Dhawan, the film also features the talented Wamiqa Gabbi, known for her role in the Amazon Prime Video series Jubilee.
Coming to the professional front, Varun will soon appear in the Indian adaptation of the action-thriller series Citadel, alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Sikandar Kher, Emma Canning, and Raimundo Querido.
