Throwback Thursday: When Anees Bazmee played a young Shatrughan Sinha in a film
Filmmaker Anees Bazmee has taken the throwback Thursday with the right spirit. Hence, here we are, with our hands on a priceless trivia! Anees has worked with some of the industry’s best names, ever since he began writing and directing films. But we had no clue he was once a child actor who got an opportunity to work with none other than the legendary Amjad Khan!
The filmmaker took to his Instagram to share with us a greyscale, old picture of himself, standing with Khan. He essayed Shatrughan Sinha’s child version, in the 1981 film Naseeb! “I have been fortunate enough to work with so many top actors & actresses over the years as both a writer & a director. Lekin kya aapko pata hai ki, main ‘Naseeb’ film main chhote Shatrughan Sinha ka role bhi kar chuka hoon?,” he wrote.
Naseeb, directed by Manmohan Desai, starred Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, Amrish Puri, Prem Chopra and Hema Malini in other pivotal roles. The legendary music composer duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal designed music for this.
What lovely memories to look back to!
