Swara Bhasker reveals fears of social exclusion in Bollywood after marrying Fahad Ahmed: "Things like 'Log kya kahenge' would cross my mind"

In the recent episode of Couple of Things with RJ Anmol and Amrita Rao, Swara Bhaskar candidly discussed the challenges and apprehensions she has faced since her relationship with Fahad Ahmed became public. Swara shared her humorous yet sincere worries about how the Bollywood fraternity might respond to her marriage.

Swara recalled, "At one point, I was scared that I wouldn't be invited to Bollywood parties if I got married to Fahad. And I could not understand why, because I was never that person who gave importance to such things. On one hand, I was raising slogans about secularism, but on the other hand, such things were running on my mind."

 

Besides this, Swara also recalled what happened after they realized that they were in love with each other. She said, "The fun part is that both of us were in denial. I thought us being anything more than friends was impossible. We came from two very different backgrounds. But everyone around us knew that there were sparks. There was a phase when we would speak on call for 10 hours at a stretch."

 

RJ Anmol and Amrita Rao praised Swara for her grace and humor in handling such sensitive issues. They also delved into how personal choices, particularly interfaith marriages, continue to spark conversations in society today.
