Sonam has a fun filled 2014 ahead

After a rather intense 2013, Sonam Kapoor is looking at some fun times ahead in the coming months. Each of her three upcoming films - Bewakoofiyan, Khoobsurat and Dolly Ki Doli - are set in a lighter space which are a far cry from some serious work that she had done in Raanjhanaa.

"That film had helped her big deal as it allowed her to be recognized firmly as an actress," says a source, "It drained a lot out of her as well since she had to go through quite a few acting workshops and theatre modalities, in addition to getting into the psyche of a character that gets embroiled in a political controversy. The fact that the film was a clear hit and also won quite a few brownie points for her was a huge turning point for Sonam's career."
In addition, with a 100 crore super hit Bhaag Milkha Bhaag to her credit, Sonam didn't have much reasons to complain even though the film was basically centered on Farhan Akhtar who played Milkha Singh.
"As for playing central roles, she is coming back with vengeance in 2014," says a close associate, "Bewakoofiyan, Khoobsurat and Dolly Ki Doli - Each of these sees her as pivotal to the film's plot. Yash Raj's Bewakoofiyan is about a couple (with Ayushmann Khurranna in tow) which is fighting through a love story post recession. Home production Khoobsurat is the remake of the Rekha starrer and doesn't need any introduction. On the other hand, Arbaaz Khan's Dolly Ki Doli gets her into further fun space with Raj Kumar Rao and Pulkit Samrat adding on to the unconventional cast."
For someone who has also been living up to the tag of 'Fashionista' with as much glee, it is being pretty much presumed that this 'Khoobsurat Dolly' won't be making any 'Bewakoofiyan' at all!
