Shershaah turns 3: Sidharth Malhotra says “Portraying Captain Vikram Batra was one of the most rewarding experiences”

It’s been three years since Sidharth Malhotra portrayed the iconic Captain Vikram Batra in the critically acclaimed film, Shershaah. Produced by Karan Johar, the film marked a significant milestone in the actor's career, not only for its critical and commercial success but also for its impact on the audience.

Shershaah was a turning point for Sidharth, who shared the screen with his now-wife, Kiara Advani, for the first time.The film's portrayal of the Kargil War hero resonated deeply with viewers, earning it widespread acclaim and numerous awards, including the prestigious National Film Award.

 

Sidharth Malhotra Celebrates 3 Years of Shershaah

 

To commemorate the film’s anniversary, Sidharth took to social media, sharing heartfelt memories of his experience. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to bring Captain Vikram Batra's story to life and lauded the soldier's unwavering courage and sacrifice.

 

He wrote, “Three years since Shershaah! Portraying Captain Vikram Batra was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career, bringing to life the story of a legendary hero honored with the Special Jury Award at the 69th National Film Awards.”

 

He further added, “Meeting his incredible family made the journey unforgettable. Here's to celebrating the legacy of a real hero and the memories we created,” followed by a red heart emoticon.

 

 

 

While Shershaah remains a career-defining role for Sidharth, his last theatrical release, Yodha, didn’t meet expectations at the box office. The actor is currently awaiting the release of his next project, tentatively titled Mitti.
