Shahid Kapoor teases action-packed love story Oh Romeo with Vishal Bhardwaj: “It’s a love story with a lot of action”
Talking about the project, Shahid said, “What’s next for me as an actor is a movie called Oh Romeo with one of the most prolific filmmakers I have worked with. We have done a version of Hamlet, Haider, and a film called Kaminey, which means rascals. Now this is Oh Romeo, and well, there might just be a Juliet in there too. It’s a love story with a lot of action.”
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson, Oh Romeo is shaping up to be a visually striking, high-octane action thriller with strong romantic elements. The cast includes Triptii Dimri and veteran actor Nana Patekar, adding further depth to this eagerly awaited project. The film is scheduled for release on Valentine’s Day 2026, aligning with its romantic core while promising plenty of adrenaline-fueled sequences.
The first look, shared by Nadiadwala Grandson on social media, shows Shahid in a mysterious avatar wearing a cowboy hat with his tattooed hand partially obscuring his face, creating buzz and anticipation for what’s to come.
Fans are especially excited about the reunion of Shahid and Bhardwaj, given the critical acclaim their earlier films received, with Haider even earning Shahid a Filmfare Award for Best Actor. With Bhardwaj returning to large-scale storytelling and Shahid coming off another successful year at the box office, Oh Romeo is already one of the most anticipated films on the horizon.
