Shahid Kapoor is sleepless and anxious as he gears up to resume Jersey shoot

Shahid Kapoor, who has been working hard on his new project Jersey, recently had to withdraw for a while, owing to health issues. The actor has recovered now, and is ready to get back to action. He took to Twitter to share how he was feeling, ahead of resuming work.

"Thank you all for all the concern and wishes. Last 2 weeks I was out of action but am well and raring to go now. #Jersey shoot starts tomorrow. As usual pre shoot nervousness. Sleepless and anxious. Every character is a new challenge. And the responsibility of finding truth," he wrote.

The actor went on to add how he looks at the characters he plays. Many will remember that his titular character from Kabir Singh received plenty of slamming as a part of the audience found it full of gender prejudice. Shahid, however, believes that there lies a beauty in imperfection. "Of finding the soul of a protagonist who’s story merits being told. Every character if real will be flawed in some way. Some more than others. The beauty of life and humanity lies in its acceptance of its own imperfection," he wrote.

Jersey, the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit directed by  Gowtham Tinnanuri, rolled about a month back as a photo of Shahid, dressed as a cricketer, took over the internet. The actor is intensely training in the game. The remake, also helmed by Gowtham, is slated to release sometime in 2020.
