Shah Rukh Khan drops major hints about King during his #AskSRK session; reacts to reuniting with Rani Mukerji

Shah Rukh Khan’s spontaneous #AskSRK sessions on X (formerly Twitter) have become a fan-favourite tradition — a mix of humour, charm, and subtle hints about his upcoming projects. During his latest interaction, the superstar once again sent fans into a frenzy as he teased details about his next film, King, directed by Siddharth Anand and written by Sujoy Ghosh.

Amid several questions that were directed at him, one fan asked, “Sir, aapki agli film ke liye super excited hain! Koi ek word hint dijiye ki next character kaisa hoga? Love you! @iamsrk #AskSRK.” To which the actor replied playfully, “Hmmmm??? @justSidAnand sun rahe ho bhai. Bol doon…?” — instantly tagging Siddharth Anand and sparking speculation that the two were hinting at a major reveal soon.

 

 

The friendly banter had already started much earlier with Anand himself interacting with SRK over questions on the film. During one such question, he chimed in on X, writing, “@iamsrk you know what they say sir — a King arrives when he wants to, not when he’s supposed to. #KING.” In true SRK style, the superstar responded with wit, saying, “You have become more and more like me. Giving cryptic answers to straightforward questions. Theek hai Boss, as and when…whatever….and whenever u want to. Fans!!! Go after him….Humla!!! At least the Title Reveal….just that much please.” His post left fans both amused and even more eager for the official announcement.

 

 

The actor also fielded a range of light-hearted questions from fans. When someone asked which film with Rani Mukerji was his favourite — given that King reunites them after two decades — SRK responded warmly, “I love Rani with or without films… period!” His affection for his longtime co-star was clear, adding to the anticipation around seeing them together again.

 

 

And when asked to choose between Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh delivered another classic answer: “It’s always the next one so now it’s….Kkkkkk.” The clever play on words not only teased the film’s title but also echoed his signature charm that fans adore.

 

 

King, produced by Marflix Pictures, marks the theatrical debut of SRK’s daughter Suhana Khan and features Abhishek Bachchan, Abhay Verma of Munjya fame, and Raghav Juyal in pivotal roles. With Siddharth Anand at the helm and Sujoy Ghosh penning the story, the project is shaping up to be one of Bollywood’s biggest and most anticipated releases — and SRK’s teasing tweets have only amplified the excitement further.
