Saurabh Shukla opens up about working with Shah Rukh Khan, calls him "An Amazing and Charismatic Man"

Actor Saurabh Shukla recently reflected on working with some of the biggest names in Hindi cinema, including Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, while discussing his experience on the upcoming film King.

During an interview with Hindi Rush, Shukla spoke about the excitement within the industry whenever actors get the chance to collaborate with Shah Rukh Khan. Emphasising the superstar’s stature, he said, “Everybody loves Shah Rukh. One call from his office,  or if he calls personally, you will give your right arm to work with him.” The actor added that interacting with Khan itself can be memorable. “You must meet Shah Rukh once if you are part of this industry. When you talk to him, it becomes an entertaining moment. He is an amazing and charismatic man,” Shukla said while describing his experience.

 

Shukla also hinted at the scale of King, noting that the film features a large ensemble cast. “Not just me, but 70 per cent of the industry is part of King. All the big names are in it,” he remarked, suggesting the project has drawn talent from across Bollywood.

 

Beyond Shah Rukh Khan, Shukla reflected on working with several iconic actors throughout his career. Speaking about legends like Amitabh Bachchan, he noted that collaborating with such towering personalities is both inspiring and educational for performers. According to Shukla, sharing screen space with actors of that calibre often becomes a learning experience for those involved in the craft.

 

Shukla himself has had a long and varied career in Hindi cinema, earning recognition for films such as Satya and Jolly LLB, where his portrayal of Justice Sunderlal Tripathi became particularly popular with audiences. While he remained tight-lipped about his role in King, Shukla did reveal that his work in the film left a strong impression on him. “Whatever work I did in King has been beautiful and memorable for me,” he said.
