RoohiAfza: Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor starrer goes on floor in Roorkee, Uttarakhand

After the stupendous success of Hindi Medium (2017), Stree (2018) and Luka Chuppi (2019), Maddock Films' Dinesh Vijan is on a roll. The producer has already begun filming Angrezi Medium, Bala. Now, another production RoohiAfza is going on the floor as well. The film stars Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor, and Varun Sharma.

RoohiAfza, earlier titled Rooh-Afza, the horror comedy went on floor today, June 14 in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. The announcement was made by Maddock Films. Janvhi wrote on Instagram, "Karne aa rahe hai attention ko kabza, aaj se shuru hoti hai #RoohiAfza! ???? ????."

 

 

Producer Dinesh Vijan earlier said in a statement, “For RoohiAfza, we needed actors who could jump into their roles with unabashed conviction. Rajkummar and Varun are phenomenal actors, comedy is a space they excel in and own. For the female lead, we needed someone who could portray two contrasting personalities with ease and Janhvi stood out, she really connected with the script. Her talent is still raw, but she is excited about being moulded. The script is young, refreshing and totally crazy, and she is exactly that!”

 

Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, RoohiAfza is being directed by debutante Hardik Mehta. The film is slated to release on March 20, 2020.
