Riddhima Kapoor Sahni opens up about close bond with brother Ranbir Kapoor; says, “Losing papa brought us even closer”

On the occasion of Bhai Dooj, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni shared heartfelt insights about her relationship with her brother, Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor, revealing how the passing of their father brought them even closer.

Speaking to the Hindustan Times, Riddhima reflected on their upbringing, saying, “Ranbir and I have always had a very normal sibling relationship despite growing up in a famous family. At home, we were just like any other brother and sister teasing, fighting, covering up for each other sometimes of course, there were times we’d keep little secrets from our parents but nothing major. We’ve always been fiercely protective of each other, and that’s never changed. Losing Papa brought us even closer. Our bond has always been strong, but now it’s deeper.”

 

Riddhima also described Ranbir as her biggest cheerleader, noting that he constantly offers honest advice. During an earlier conversation with India Today, she said, “He is always available to offer advice whenever I need it.” She shared how she often consulted him while filming, asking, “Does this look okay? Should I change something?” and how Ranbir always responded with kindness.

 

Highlighting Ranbir’s role in the family, Riddhima called him the man of the house, stating, “He’s a pillar in the family now. He’s there for me, for our mother, he’s always around, always dependable.” She further praised him, saying, “He’s a great son, an amazing brother, a hands-on dad, and also a truly wonderful husband. Above all, he’s a great human being.”

 

The siblings’ strong bond is visible in their public appearances as well. Recently, Ranbir and his wife Alia Bhatt shared heartwarming pictures from their Diwali celebrations at their Vaastu home before moving into their new residence. On the professional front, the couple will next be seen together in Love & War alongside Vicky Kaushal.

 

Riddhima’s candid reflections offer a touching glimpse into the Kapoor family’s close-knit relationships, proving that even amidst loss, family ties remain unbreakable.
