Raveena Tandon says she was confident about playing Indrani in Karmma Calling; speaks on watching Revenge

Disney+ Hotstar unveils the trailer of its much-awaited guilty pleasure series, Karmma Calling where the reigning queen of Alibaug, Indrani Kothari (Raveena Tandon) is ready to take on Karma Talwar (Namrata Sheth) as secrets are dark and stakes are high. What happens when Karma enters the elite club of Alibaug and unexpected truths unfold?

The perfect way to bring out the best in a character is to own it and live the part. While Raveena Tandon did watch the original US series to understand her role, she believed in living Indrani Kothari to get into the skin of her character. Here is what she has to say.

 

Talking about the same, Raveena Tandon said, "I have watched Revenge and I thoroughly enjoyed the series. When I was narrated the character of Indrani, I decided to watch the series to understand the world of this character, her emotions and what she desired. The series had me hooked and I watched it entirely. Honestly, I wanted Indrani to have a space of her own and didn’t take anything from the International series. The character is for the Indian audiences and I wanted to adapt to those sensibilities while staying true to the nature of Indrani. I was confident about playing Indrani and I am sure that audiences will love this side of me."

 

The upcoming series, Karmma Calling, will release on January 26, 2024, exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar. Produced by R.A.T films, adapted for India and directed by Ruchi Narain, the series is helmed by Raveena Tandon, Namrata Sheth, Varun Sood along with Gaurav Sharma, Waluscha D’souza, Amy Aela, Viraf Patel, Piyush Khati in pivotal roles.
