Ranbir Kapoor’s REACTS on dad Rishi Kapoor’s emotional outburst after watching Sanju trailer
Ranbir Kapoor is in the news and how! The actor gave a smashing performance in Sanju and its trailer is a proof enough. Before we saw the trailer, makers Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra showed it to Ranbir’s dad and veteran actor Rishi Kapoor. After watching the trailer, he was shook...just like all of us and he for the first time had no words to describe his son’s stellar portrayal as Sanjay Dutt. He said, “Rajkumar Hirani has presented Ranbir is the biggest superb thing. The boy has really done well. I am so proud of him. I swear on Neetu and Ranbir, I did not think it was Ranbir, I thought it was Sanjay Dutt.”
We all know Ranbir and Rishi have complicated relationship and Rishi is not very expressive when it comes to the Sanju star therefore, his dad’s approval was pretty important for Ranbir. He spoke about this at the trailer launch and said, “I got emotional after watching dad's reaction on Sanju trailer. Besides being my father, he is also an actor I admire. My dad would never say it on my face that I have done good work. That is why when Raju sir (Rajkumar Hirani) sent me the video, I got extremely emotional."
The biopic, Sanju, depicts the various stages of Sanjay Dutt's life, the teaser of which has already piqued the interests of the audience. It showcases the highs and lows of Sanjay Dutt's life-giving an insight into the unbelievable true story of the actor. While the teaser earned Ranbir Kapoor praises for his amazing transformation into each phase of Sanjay Dutt's life, the trailer further resents the actor's commendable acting skills as he perfectly fits into Sanjay Dutt's shoes.
