Rakul Preet reflects on gratitude, growth and never settling; says, “I am comfortable, and I’m grateful for that comfort, but I’m chasing a lot more”
Rakul Preet Singh has built a steady presence in Indian cinema with her work across multiple languages and genres. Known for balancing commercial and content-driven roles, she continues to take on diverse projects and grow as a performer.
Speaking about her journey, Rakul opened up with a heartfelt reflection on growth, gratitude, and never settling. She said, “I feel there’s a lot to chase. The day you start thinking in life that I have arrived or I am good enough — of course, I am good enough is different — but like, I am good and I’m not chasing anything anymore, I feel that’s when you become laid-back. So, for me, yes, I am very grateful for what I have, every moment, but I feel the buck doesn’t stop there. I still have a lot more to do, and I still have… and you know, we are in one direction — that these are films, I am acting, and I am an actor — but there can be so many different dimensions to you. Life is a huge canvas, and you can just throw paint on it. So I feel like there is so much to explore, learn, grow, evolve, that I don’t have that thought — that I’ve arrived, or now I am comfortable. Yes, I am comfortable, and I’m grateful for that comfort, but I’m chasing a lot more.”
With a mindset rooted in purpose and exploration, Rakul is all set to take over 2025 with a stellar line-up. From De De Pyaar De 2 to Ameeri, and several big-ticket projects yet to be announced, she is truly on a roll — chasing dreams, breaking boundaries, and painting her canvas with every shade of brilliance.
