R Madhavan reviews Vivek Agnihotri’s The Vaccine War: “Totally blown out of my mind by…”
Actor R Madhavan has heaped praise on director Vivek Agnihotri's upcoming film, The Vaccine War. In a recent Instagram post, Madhavan shared a poster of the film and commended Agnihotri for his storytelling abilities.
"Just saw 'THE VACCINE WAR' and totally blown out of my mind by the spectacular sacrifices and achievements of the Indian scientific community, which made India's very first vaccine and kept the nation safe during the most challenging period, told by a Master Storyteller @vivekagnihotri who makes you cheer, applaud, weep, and euphoric, all at the same time," Madhavan wrote.
The actor also highlighted the performances of the cast, emphasising their successful portrayal of the resilience of Indian scientists. "Stellar performances by the entire cast, @pallavijoshiofficial @anupampkher #Nanapathekar @raimasen (and every single one of them) so beautifully depict the sacrifices and the sheer grit of our Indian scientists (ladies) aptly and impact-fully.”
On a closing note, Madhvan wrote, “Take a huge bow team #TheVaccineWar .. the Indian scientific community owes your debt of gratitude as we do to them. Go see the film in the theaters and make sure to buy a ticket for your superwoman who helped you survive the lockdown. The domestic help and the lovely women.”
Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, The Vaccine War features Nana Patekar, Anupam Kher, Raima Sen, and Pallavi Joshi in prominent roles. Scheduled for a theatrical release on September 28, the film honours the unwavering commitment of healthcare professionals and scientists during the tumultuous period of the COVID-19 pandemic.
