Pulkit Samrat to fight live boxing match, becomes first Indian actor to enter the ring

Actor Pulkit Samrat is set to step into the boxing ring for a live exhibition match against professional boxer Neeraj Goyat on April 17 in Mumbai, marking a significant crossover between sport and entertainment. With this, Pulkit becomes the first Indian actor to participate in a live professional-style boxing bout.

The three-round exhibition match is linked to Pulkit’s upcoming Netflix project Glory, in which he plays a boxer. Instead of relying solely on choreographed sequences for the role, the actor has chosen to engage in an actual fight, aiming to bring a higher level of authenticity to his performance.

 

By taking on an experienced boxer like Neeraj Goyat in a live ring environment, Pulkit is pushing beyond conventional preparation methods often associated with sports-based roles in Indian cinema.
