The actress shared a fun Instagram video featuring the team’s coach, Ricky Ponting, and newly appointed captain, Shreyas Iyer. However, the highlight of the clip was its Gangs of Wasseypur-style twist.

 

The video features a dramatic Piyush Mishra-style narration, unveiling Punjab Kings' full match schedule.

 

In her caption, Preity Zinta expressed her excitement for IPL 2025 and wrote, “It’s that time of the year & I'm super excited for IPL 2025. All the best to Punjab Kings as they start the tournament with naya josh, naya squad, naya captain, naya coach & a brand new vibe. Looking forward to seeing all of you in the stadium. IPL 2025 began with a spectacular opening ceremony on March 22. Shreya Ghoshal captivated the audience with her soulful voice, while Disha Patani and Karan Aujla delivered electrifying performances.

 

But the real showstopper? Shah Rukh Khan! The KKR owner got Virat Kohli to groove with him to ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’, sending the crowd into a frenzy. Fans couldn’t get enough of the two superstars sharing the stage.

 

Adding to the fun, KKR’s rising star Rinku Singh joined Shah Rukh Khan for a dance to ‘Lutt Putt Gaya’ from Dunki. As always, King Khan ensured everyone had a blast.

 

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore kicked off IPL 2025 with a strong start, defeating Kolkata Knight Riders in the opening match. The tournament’s grand finale is set for May 25.
