Kartik Aaryan is the new kid on the block. He sure is the newest sensation as his film Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club. This sure is a big achievement for young star because it is not a mean feat achieving these numbers at box office as he carried the film on his own shoulders along with Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh. Now, he has all the reasons to celebrate and he is every bit deserving! Kartik made his debut with Luv Ranjan’s Pyaar Ka Punchnama in 2011 which was a multistarrer but Kartik stood out in every frame, thanks to his screen presence and amazing comic timing.

Do you know how Kartik landed this role in the first place? Well, his story is quite an inspiration. Here is some trivia for his fans. He was enrolled in the DY Patil College and studied engineering. But he never attended classes as he was busy scouting work in showbiz. Well, he would follow on to random Facebook calls and land up for auditions. Sometimes, there were genuine casting calls and other times just means to con artistes. Once Kartik happened to see a casting call posted by Vicky Sedana. He immediately went and met him. The part was for Pyar Ka Punchnama. Kartik sent him his photographs and they liked it. But his struggle did not end there. PKP makers took six months to get back to him. Finally, they made him do the monologue, which would later become famous. You won’t believe this but Kartik worked for 12 hours straight on it and cracked it as this was a do or die situation for him. If this is not inspiring, what is?

 

Kartik is elated on Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety earning Rs 100 crore and can’t stop smiling since.
