Netizens feel Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone’s ‘Besharam Rang’ from Pathaan sounds similar to Pakistani singer Sajjad Ali’s track ‘Ab Ke Hum Bichare’
Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone-starrer song ‘Besharam Rang’ from Pathaan continues to stay in the headlines. Following the release of the song last month, controversy erupted over the actress’ saffron swimsuit. Now, netizens are finding an uncanny resemblance between the song with Pakistani singer Sajjad Ali's old song after the latter posted live vocals on his social media.
Sajjad Ali shared a video of himself singing his old song ‘Ab Ke Hum Bichare’. The video started with Sajjad saying in Urdu, “I was listening to music on YouTube from some new films. I was reminded of one of my old songs from 25-26 years ago. Let me sing it for you.”
"After listening to a new movie’s song, it reminded me of my song I released 26 years ago, Ab Ke Hum Bichare. Enjoy!!” he captioned the video. Netizens were quick to point out that the song had an uncanny resemblance to ‘Besharam Rang’. In fact, it could be interpolation too. The song is composed by Vishal Dadlani and Sheykhar Ravjiani. It is sung by Shilpa Rao.
Yash Raj Films’ action extravaganza, Pathaan, is a part of Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy universe and has the biggest superstars of the country Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in it. The film is set to release on January 25, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
