The teaser of Main Vaapas Aaunga has sparked strong reactions across the film industry, with celebrities such as Ayushmann Khurrana, Nikkhil Advani and Dia Mirza praising Imtiaz Ali’s cinematic vision. Dia Mirza took to social media to express her admiration, calling the teaser “Goosebumps!”
Filmmaker Nikkhil Advani shared, “There are filmmakers who make you hold your breath even as the first look unfolds. Imtiaz Ali, for me, has always been that.” Ayushmann Khurrana also praised the teaser, describing it as having “such pretty feels.” With evocative visuals and emotional storytelling, the teaser has already created strong buzz across social media.
Main Vaapas Aaunga is set in Imtiaz Ali’s evocative world of love and longing, starring Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Sharvari Wagh and Vedang Raina in pivotal roles. The film reunites the legendary musical trio of A. R. Rahman, Imtiaz Ali and Irshad Kamil. Produced by Sameer Nair and Deepak Segal of Applause Entertainment and Mohit Choudhary and Shibasish Sarkar of Window Seat Films, the film releases in cinemas on June 12, 2026.
