Mahendra Singh Dhoni ready for film debut? Sakshi Dhoni spills the beans
Sakshi Dhoni, the wife of renowned Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, is set to make her debut as a film producer with the upcoming Tamil film LGM (Let’s Get Married). The movie, produced under the banner Dhoni Entertainment, is directed by the talented debutant Ramesh Thamilmani and boasts a stellar cast, including Nadhiya, Harish Kalyan, Ivana, RJ Vijay, and Yogi Babu in pivotal roles.
At a recent promotional event for the film in Chennai, Sakshi Dhoni revealed an intriguing possibility—MS Dhoni, the iconic cricketer, might consider stepping into the world of cinema as a leading man, but with one condition: the presence of a compelling script.
When questioned about her husband's interest in acting, Sakshi said, "If there’s something good, he might do it. He is not camera-shy. He has been acting in advertisements since 2006, and he is not afraid of facing the camera. So, he might do it if there’s something good."
When asked about the genre that would suit MS Dhoni's on-screen presence, Sakshi's response was prompt and enthusiastic. "Action. He is always in action," she said. Meanwhile, LGM director Ramesh Thamilmani added, “He is a real-life superhero, and I would like to see him in a superhero film.”
Speaking of LGM (Let’s Get Married), it is a romantic drama that features Nadhiya, Harish Kalyan and Ivana. Also, popular actors Yogi Babu, Venkat Prabu, and VTV Ganesh will be seen in supporting roles. Ramesh Thamilmani, the director of the film, is not only helming the project but also composing its music.
