Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 trailer launch: CBFC blurs frontal nudity shot; Dibakar Banerjee says “They asked us to mute ‘ma behen ki gaalis’. I asked them, ‘Kya main baap ki gaali de sakta hoon?’”

Dibakar Banerjee launched the trailer of his bold film, Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 today in Mumbai along with the star cast. As expected, the first question from the media was about whether the film has got cuts from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Dibakar Banerjee said, “Pehli baat toh yeh ki censor ke hisaab se film banani padti hai. Secondly, you have to indulge in self-censorship.”

 

He then revealed, "Very surprisingly, the censor experience for Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 was absolutely smooth. We had applied for an adults-only certificate. They only asked us to mute ‘ma behen ki gaalis’. I asked them, ‘Kya main baap ki gaali de sakta hoon?’. They said, ‘Aap maa, baap aur behen teeno ko gaali se alag rakhein’!”

 

He continued, "So, we have a particular set of expletives in the film (that were retained) and another set of expletives were muted.”

 

Dibakar Banerjee then said, “Also, there’s a lot of frontal nudity in the climax of the film. We had to blur the visuals as we can’t shoot frontal nudity in Indian films.”

 

Along with Dibakar Banerjee, actors Abhinav Singh, Bonita Rajpurohit, Paritosh Tiwari also graced the trailer launch. Bonita stood out as she talked about the excitement of being the first trans actor in Bollywood to play the lead role.
