Krishnavataram Part 1 producer says Siddharth Gupta, Sanskruti Jayana bring “emotional truth” to the film

The makers of Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart have introduced Siddharth Gupta and Sanskruti Jayana as the lead pair of the upcoming mythological drama. The two actors will portray Krishna and Satyabhama in the film, which is scheduled to release on May 7, 2026.

Directed by Hardik Gajjar, the film is produced by Sajan Raj Kurup, Shobha Sant, Poonam Shroff and Parth Gajjar. According to the makers, the story will focus on Krishna’s journey through the perspective of Satyabhama, offering a different narrative approach to a familiar mythological tale.

 

The film also features Sushmitha Bhat as Radha and Nivaashiyni Krishnan as Rukmini.

 

Speaking about the casting and vision of the project, producer Sajan Raj Kurup said: “This film comes with both ambition and responsibility. We are telling a story rooted in deep cultural memory, but choosing to experience it through a very intimate and human lens. Siddharth and Sanskruti bring that emotional truth alive in a way that feels fresh and honest. Our belief has always been to cast for the world we are building, not for familiarity. If audiences walk away seeing Krishna’s journey through Satyabhama’s eyes, then we have stayed true to the soul of this film.”

 

The makers say the film aims to combine mythology with emotional storytelling, placing emphasis on character relationships and personal journeys. By presenting the narrative through Satyabhama’s voice, the team hopes to bring a fresh perspective to the story.

 

The project has already generated curiosity among audiences for its visual scale and mythological setting. With its release date approaching, attention is now turning toward the new lead pair and how they bring the central characters to screen.

 

Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart is positioned as the opening chapter of a larger cinematic franchise inspired by Indian mythology.
