Kartik Aaryan dedicates his FIRST Filmfare Award to “dreamers”: “Champion girta hai… par rukta nahi”

Kartik Aaryan has won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor (Male) for his performance in Chandu Champion, marking a significant milestone in his career. Sharing his excitement on Instagram, Kartik called the moment “a dream come true” and dedicated the award to every dreamer who refuses to give up.

In his post, he wrote about the journey from merely watching the iconic “black lady” on TV to finally holding it in his hands. He credited director Kabir Khan for transforming him through the role, praising his vision, emotional storytelling, and commitment to authenticity. Kartik also acknowledged the support of producers Sajid Nadiadwala and Warda Khan Nadiadwala, describing them as pillars of the film, and paid tribute to the real-life hero Murlikant Petkar, whose story inspired the project.

 

Kartik extended his gratitude to cinematographer Sudeep Chatterjee and music composer Pritam, as well as the entire cast and crew, emphasizing that the award symbolizes their collective effort.

 

 

 

For the Filmfare Awards 2025, Kartik Aaryan looked dapper in a Monarch Velvet Tuxedo by Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna, styled by Eka Lakhani, which is priced at Rs 98,500.

 

Chandu Champion, directed by Kabir Khan and produced under Sajid Nadiadwala’s Grandson Entertainment banner, tells the inspiring real-life story of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medalist. Kartik’s performance has been widely praised for its authenticity and emotional resonance, earning him this well-deserved recognition.
