Kajol reveals that her father had opposed her marriage to Ajay Devgn

Kajol and Ajay Devgn have always won hearts with their onscreen romance and their off screen camaraderie as a couple. The two actors have been married to each other for over two decades and are parents to two kids as well.

In a recent interview, Kajol opened up about not facing patriarchy and cited an example of how she went ahead with her wedding even when her father opposed it. She said that her father Shomu Mukherjee was against her decision to get married at the age of 24. Her father was of the opinion that she should work more before tying the knot. However, it was her mother Tanuja Chandra who supported her and asked her to go with her gut. And Kajol went ahead to do what she wanted to.

 

Before their marriage, Ajay and Kajol worked together in films like Ishq, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha and Dil Kya Kare. They tied the knot in February of 1999.

 

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kajol is currently looking forward to the release of her digital debut film Tribhanga which will be released on Netflix. The film directed by Renuka Shahane also stars Tanvi Azmi and Mithila Palkar.
