Joy Forum 2025: Aamir Khan confesses, “Shah Rukh, Salman and I are FORTUNATE to be born in India”; Shah Rukh Khan wins hearts: "I also come from a film family. Salman’s family is also my family!"

On Friday, October 17, history was created as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan graced the 2025 edition of Joy Forum at SEF Arena, Boulevard City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. All three of them spoke about cinema, their families and gave headline-worthy statements.

Shah Rukh Khan, in the beginning, said that it was difficult to ascertain why all of them became stars. Aamir Khan agreed, “Like Shah Rukh said, it’s impossible to pinpoint (on how and why they became stars). Perhaps all three of us were fortunate that we were born in India, a country where we could be a part of Hindi cinema. Had we been born somewhere else, we wouldn’t have been here.”

 

Aamir explained, “It’s the opportunity, where you are and at what time; maybe you can call it fate or destiny. Of course, everyone is hardworking. All of us work hard. But it’s also whether you are at the right place at the right time. Many things also work in your favour, which are not in your control. So, it’s a mix of all of these factors.”

 

Salman Khan, at this point, remarked, “Aamir comes from a film background. So do I. This man here (pointing at Shah Rukh Khan). He came from Delhi.” As expected, there were claps. Shah Rukh Khan remarked, “I am so sorry, but may I interrupt Salman? I also come from a film family. Salman’s family is also my family!” There was a huge round of applause at this statement, while Salman and Aamir smiled at this gesture.

 

The host praised the camaraderie that Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan shared on stage. Salman joked, “That’s only on stage!” Shah Rukh added to the fun by saying, “You should see backstage what we do (to each other) right after this session!”
