In a touching response to this plea, Jeetendra and Sachin Pilgaonkar promptly visited the ailing actor, offering their unwavering support during this challenging time.

The confirmation of this compassionate visit came from none other than Sachin Pilgaonkar's daughter, Shriya Pilgaonkar, who responded to a tweet by writer-director Khalid Mohamed. Khalid Mohamed shared a nostalgic childhood picture of Junior Mehmood, expressing the dire nature of his health condition and his earnest wish to reconnect with his former co-stars. The filmmaker's tweet read, “Junior Mehmood, yesteryear's adorable child star, is in hospital with 4th stage cancer. He has expressed his wish to meet Jeetendra whom he often co-starred with and childhood friend Sachin Pilgaonkar to visit him, please Jeetendra saab, Sachin ji grant him what could be his last wish.” In a heartwarming response, Shriya Pilgaonkar conveyed, “Papa is in touch and visited him today.”

For the unversed, Junior Mehmood started his career as a junior artist. He achieved a breakthrough with his portrayal of Mehmood Sahab’s brother-in-law in Ratan Bhattacharya’s film Suhagrat. Besides this, he has been a part of multiple hits including Kati Patang, Brahmachari, Mera Naam Joker, and Parvarish, among others.
