Ishaqzaade completes 12 years; Arjun Kapoor shares video about his Bollywood debut

Known to be one of the cult romantic dramas of all times, Ishaqzaade turned out to be quite popular among the youth. Now 12 years later, popular star Arjun Kapoor, who made his big Bollywood debut with YRF drama, decided to dedicate a special post. The romantic-action entertainer also featured Parineeti Chopra, and marked her debut as the lead in a film.

Ishaqzaade was a new-age rendition of Romeo and Juliet featuring two warring families of Chauhan and Qureshi, set against the backdrop of UP politics in a small town. With Arjun Kapoor as Parma and Parineeti Chopra playing Zoya, the film traced the journey of two lovers who are ready to fight their families and the world to protect their love. Taking to social media, Arjun shared a clip compiling a few iconic dialogues of Param and added in the caption, “12 years of rebellion, 12 years of romance, 12 years of passion, 12 years of cherished memories, 12 years of Parma & Zoya’s love story… It’s been 12 years of #Ishaqzaade”

Speaking about the film, it was directed by Habib Faisal, and also featured Gauahar Khan, Natasha Rastogi, Anil Rastogi and Shashank Khaitan in supporting roles. On the work front, currently, Arjun Kapoor is prepping to play the lead antagonist of Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor Khan in lead roles along with special cameos from Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, and Tiger Shroff. As for his co-star Parineeti Chopra is riding high on the success of her latest release Amar Singh Chamkila with Diljit Dosanjh.
