GOT7’s Jinyoung continues to sway Kim Go Eun’s heart in Yumi’s Cells 2 new teaser, watch video

South Korean network TVING released another swooning teaser for the upcoming second season of hit romantic-comedy drama Yumi’s Cells, starring Kim Go Eun and GOT7’s Jinyoung.

The teaser opens with Jinyoung’s Yoo Babi asking Kin Go Eun’s Yumi, as translated by Korean tabloid Soompi, “Can you wait for me?” With a warm smile, he then says, “I’m happy that you waited for me.” Yoo Babi then continues to flutter Yumi’s heart as he keeps calling her everywhere by her name and showing up in front of her. On the other hand, Yumi can’t help but experience the roller coaster of emotions as her cells explode with giddy at his sweet comments. However, Yumi is stuck in a dilemma as she’s not ready to accept him just yet. While constantly avoiding him, she says, “This is so hard for me.” However, she can’t help but smile ear to ear.

 

As the teaser continues, Yumi is caught in jealousy as she overhears Ruby (Lee Yoo Bi) trying to set up Yoo Babi with her friend. “He’s finally going on that blind date with my friend,” Ruby says following which Yumi’s cells begin to wail. Towards the end of the teaser, Yumi is seen racing somewhere earnestly, piquing curiosity about how she will deal with this new obstacle in her love life. Yoo Babi’s voiceover says, “If you don’t feel uncomfortable around me, then wait for me.”

 

Based on the popular web comic of the same name, Yumi’s Cells tells the story of an office worker Yumi from her brain cells’ point of view. Its first season, which aired last year, detailed her brain cells’ attempts to revive her love cells, which had fallen into a coma after a failed relationship through her connection with game developer Go Woong (Ahn Bo Hyun). Kim Go Eun plays the titular role of Yumi, an ordinary woman who struggles with expressing her feelings. The forthcoming season focuses on Yumi’s blossoming relationship with her co-worker, Yoo Ba Bi (Jinyoung).

 

Yumi’s Cells 2 is slated to premiere on June 10. Watch the teaser trailer below!
