EXCLUSIVE: “I remember all my friends got phones when they were 11 and my mother just refused to give me a phone before the age of 13,” says Alaya F

Bollywood actress Alaya F, daughter of Pooja Bedi and granddaughter of Kabir Bedi, made her debut in 2020 with Jawaani Janeman. The actress starred alongside Saif Ali Khan and Tabu in the quirky comedy film. Since her debut, Alaya F has been quite active on social media and very candid about her life with her followers.

The newbie actress recently sat for an exclusive and candid segment of Star Tech with Bollywood Hungama. Talking about her first ever phone and if she bought it herself or someone gifted it, Alaya shared, “It was gifted to me, I was 13 years old. I remember all my friends got it when they were 11 and my mother just refused to give me a phone before the age of 13.”

 

“It was like a principle that she had when she felt like it wasn't necessary, especially back then,” she added. “And so yeah, I remember it was a Nokia 6250... I forgot the model number. It was pink in colour, and it was like this small and I thought it was the cutest thing ever. I remember when I finally got a phone, I started crying with happiness because I was two years later than all my friends.”

 

On the work front, Alaya F will next star in Freddy with Kartik Aaryan and U-Turn.
