EXCLUSIVE: Ajay Devgn on Runway 34- “There is a suspense angle to the film”
Ajay Devgn is all set for the release of his directorial Runway 34. The film also stars Rakul Preet Singh and Amitabh Bachchan. While Ajay and Rakul essay the role of pilots in the film based on a true incident, Amitabh will be seen as a lawyer. The promo of the film has already generated quite the buzz around the film. Ahead of the release of the film on April 29, Ajay Devgn told Bollywood Hungama that there is a suspense element to the film.
Several fans took to the comment section of the trailer of the film to praise the makers for not revealing much about the film, but enough to generate interest. Reacting to such comments, Ajay told Bollywood Hungama, “Yeah, I would say the film has an intrigue, the film has a little suspense angle to it. So we thought about this first trailer, we don't open too much and try to show you the genre, we show you the scale and things like this. And then we had a second trailer which opened a few things. So that's how we had planned. I hope it works."
Inspired by true incidents, Runway 34 revolves around Captain Vikrant Khanna played by Ajay Devgn, a flying prodigy, whose flight takes a mysterious course after take-off from an international destination. With the thrill of the unknown in the sky, this film showcases Ajay locking horns with the legend of Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan; whom he has directed for the first time. The film also features Rakul Preet Singh, as a co-pilot, in a never-seen-before role.
The film will be released in theatres on April 29.
