Ektaa R Kapoor thanks Priyadarshan for giving her “the biggest hit of her career” amid Bhooth Bangla success

Ektaa R Kapoor has shared a note of appreciation for filmmaker Priyadarshan following the success of Bhooth Bangla, a film backed by Balaji Motion Pictures. The project, which stars Akshay Kumar, has performed well at the box office and marked the actor’s reunion with the veteran director.

Taking to Instagram, Ektaa Kapoor posted a series of pictures with Priyadarshan, reflecting on their working relationship and the experience of collaborating on the film. Her note highlighted the mutual respect that shaped their professional dynamic, even as both are known for their strong creative approaches.

 

“I was working with a man who was doing his 100th film. The world expected fireworks when two headstrong people like us came together, but what they didn’t see was the deep-rooted mutual respect that defined our journey. I don’t think I’ve had more fun working with anyone than @priyadarshan.official,” she wrote.

 

She also recalled an early conversation with the director that stood out to her. “The first thing he asked me was, ‘Ekta, are you making money on this film? I don’t work on a film if my producer doesn’t make money’. The kind of belief system he brings to the table and ensures the producer is secure before he even begins the project, is as rare as Priyan sir himself.”

 

 

 

According to Kapoor, this approach gave her confidence in both the financial and creative direction of the film. She noted that while disagreements did occur during the process, they were handled with respect. “It’s not to say we never had our disagreements, but it was always respectful. At the end of the day, I truly believe a director must take the ship forward, and what a ship this has been,” she added.

 

Concluding her message, Kapoor credited Priyadarshan for delivering a major success for her banner. “Thank you Priyan Sir, for your vision, your discipline, and for giving me the biggest hit of my career. Couldn’t be more grateful.”

 

Bhooth Bangla has drawn attention not only for its box office performance but also for bringing together Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan once again, a collaboration that has previously delivered several popular films.
