“It was the most difficult task of my life”, grieves Amaal Malik on the loss of his beloved grandmother

Grandmother of music composer Amaal Malik passed away after suffering a stroke at age 86 on July 25. The whole Malik clan is shaken by the sudden demise of their support system and the family head. According to the reports she was admitted to a hospital after getting a stroke and her last rites were done at Santa Cruz Kabrastan in Mumbai.

Grandson Amaal Malik said a final goodbye to his grandmother and penned a heartbreaking post on his Instagram handle. He wrote, "It was the most difficult task of my life to bury you with my own hands today. I cried hopelessly for a last hug, but you had already gone ????You wanted to be buried right next to your husband and I’m glad we could make that happen…. As I left, it began to rain and I looked up to the skies & smiled knowing that you are right where you wanted to be, united with Dada in another dimension, just like this picture. There was never any one before , nor will there be any one after". The 30 year old musician was shattered by his grandmother's death and wished her soul to rest in peace.

 

 

Brother and singer Armaan Malik also mourned his grandmother’s loss and wrote an emotional post on his Instagram handle. Soon after their posts fans and celebrities started pouring in condolences to the entire Malik family. Bilquis was the sibling of renowned poet and lyricist Hasrat Jaipuri and the mother of music composers Anu, Daboo, and Abu Malik.
